A NEW APPROACH TO CHILD PROTECTION BEGINS
The first Bindi Bindi Place will be in Brisbane’s northside, where Communify has identified the most urgent need.
Communify is already delivering a range of important services to this community and will deliver Bindi Bindi Place as a centre for at-risk children and their families.
Whilst we hope to deliver more Bindi Bindi Place centres in the future, this first Bindi Bindi Place will be for families in the Zillmere, Taigum and surrounding areas. The first centre will be located at 62 Handford Road, Zillmere, where land has now been purchased for the build.
Communify will collaborate with local agencies and specialist services to ensure that children’s wellbeing, educational, behavioural, developmental and health needs are addressed and supported.
The team will also ensure that families are connected to external organisations to address challenges in areas related to domestic violence, lifestyle, addiction, income, housing and physical or mental health issues.
